Code of Conduct

Participation in any IRL Events, Inc. (“IRL Events”) activity, including but not limited to cruise-based events, is subject to this Code of Conduct (“Code”). By attending an IRL Events event, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not participate in any IRL Events activity.
Failure to comply with this Code may result in consequences up to and including removal from the event and/or vessel without refund. IRL Events reserves the right to modify this Code at its sole discretion.
1. Respectful Conduct
IRL Events is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. All guests, creators, and staff must conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful and does not interfere with the enjoyment of others. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or threats, whether verbal, physical, or written.
- Offensive, obscene, or disruptive behavior, including conduct that creates a hostile or unsafe environment, in person or online.
- Unwanted physical contact, persistent unwelcome attention, or stalking-like behavior.
2. Compliance with Cruise Line Policies
All attendees must adhere to Royal Caribbean’s policies, which include but are not limited to:
- Safety and Security: Compliance with shipboard safety protocols, emergency procedures, and crew instructions is mandatory.
- Prohibited Items: The following items are strictly forbidden at IRL Events:
- Outside alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances, including cannabis products.
- Firearms, weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials.
- Items displaying inflammatory, obscene, or discriminatory language or imagery.
- Smoking & Vaping: Permitted only in designated outdoor areas in accordance with Cruise Line policies.
3. Personal Space & Privacy
- Respect personal boundaries. Unwanted attention, excessive interruptions, or following individuals around the ship is prohibited.
- Photography, video, and live streaming may be restricted in certain event sessions. Participants must comply with all posted guidelines and staff instructions.
4. Event Access & Credential Use
- Credentials (badges, wristbands, digital passes) are for the assigned guest only and may not be shared, altered, or transferred.
- Unauthorized access to restricted areas, including staff-only zones, is strictly prohibited.
5. Unauthorized Commercial Activity
- Selling, promoting, or distributing goods or services without prior written approval from IRL Events is strictly prohibited.
- Unauthorized vending may result in removal from event activities and confiscation of merchandise.
6. Zero Tolerance for Illegal Substances & Disruptive Behavior
- The possession, use, or distribution of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Violators may be reported to local authorities.
- Excessive intoxication or disorderly conduct that threatens the safety or enjoyment of others will not be tolerated.
7. Personal Property & Lost Items
- IRL Events is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced personal belongings.
- A Lost & Found will be available at the Help Desk during the event. Unclaimed items may be discarded after the event’s conclusion.
8. Event Monitoring & Media Release
- IRL Events reserves the right to photograph, record, and distribute media from its events. By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear in event recordings and grant IRL Events the right to use such media for promotional or operational purposes.
- Surveillance systems may be in place at certain event venues for security purposes.
9. Service Animals & Pets
- Pets are not permitted.
- Guests requiring a service animal must notify IRL Events and the Cruise Line at the time of booking and comply with all applicable policies.
10. Violations & Enforcement
IRL Events reserves the right to take appropriate action for any violations of this Code, including but not limited to:
- Issuance of verbal or written warnings.
- Removal from event activities.
- Removal from the ship at the next port of call without refund.
- Notification of violations to the Cruise Line and/or law enforcement authorities.
11. Contact & Reporting Violations
If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code, please report it immediately to cruise ship and IRL Events staff.
By attending an IRL Events activity, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
